As always with Foundry figures these are of excellent quality and the range is large enough to give a good variety of units. Figures are provided armed with pilum (spear) or gladius (sword) in a choice of segmented or mail armour, some even have armoured forearms for the Dacian campaign. A choice of both rectangular (regulars) and oval (auxillia) shields are available separately to give even more variety to the range.
The cavalry range is fairly limited although this is not too much of a problem as the use of cavalry by Rome in this period was not great. Some artillery weapons are available such as ballista and there is a choice of archers in both Eastern and Western dress.
These figures are ideal for Warhammer Ancient Battles and are featured in the rulebook itself, which also includes a useful painting guide for this range.

Figures by Wargames Foundry painted by R.Sidwell
| VERDICT | QUALITY | VALUE FOR MONEY |
| All in all a very good range of figures. They can be a little expensive, so look out for the special deals which are often offered by Foundry. Reviewed by R.Sidwell | ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()
